Moosie`s in Moneta

I have been here over 5 times, they always mess up the order. My friend has a severe gluten allergy and she was told that her salad was gluten free, however, when the salad arrived, it was covered in croutons. The food takes over half an hour to arrive and a 30 minute wait to get in! not impressed!

Staff was very attentive. Moosie's has a wide variety of subs, sandwiches, and burgers. Sandwiches are served with potato chips but fries are available. They also have salads and soups. The carpet is new this year and looks very nice. I picked the chicken salad sandwich. The menu said chicken mixed with mayo. It was piled with chicken, but was bland even with lettuce and tomato. So, next time I'll choose another entree - maybe a burger.

Always fit in a meal here when I vacation here. My family and I always enjoy the meals and service. You also have to do a photo with Moosie. It's required

Good spot to hang out. Nice view out the back! Friendly staff and good food. Not great food but good. When I feel like it there's nothing like the chili dog and fries.

My personal Favorite place to Eat. As a year round resident, Moosies is the most consistent restaurant at the lake. I have been dining here for going on 2 decades, and the quality, portions, price is always up to par. Could not think of one single bad experience I have ever had with service of food quality. Funky Chicken please, Extra funky on the side with fries.

Beer wasn't cold and they aloud 3 men to come in without mask and nothing was said. 1 other man came in 10 minutes after them and was fussed at because he wasn't wearing a mask.

Service is solid. Good food. Not a bad place, a little small tho.

Absolutely amazing sandwiches. Monte Cristo and Kyle's Keeation were fantastic. Skip the pasta salad, it has zero flavor.

Food was great! Waitress was too much in a hurry and mute. No one was in there at that time, maybe 2 tables, and she seemed irritated that we needed time to decide what we wanted. No personality, no smile, not pleasant and both of us sensed it. Too bad! Can't make tips that way. At least act like you care. Sometimes a waitress can determine the whole outcome of your meal. If I go back I hope she has an attitude change.

Service was great. The burger I got was really good, but it was a little dryer than I like (that's why I gave it 4 stars). Over all it's a really good place to go for a good sandwich.

Server did a very good job ensuring we had everything we needed or wanted. Food was okay per flavor and sandwich servings were large. Atmosphere was good for a lunchtime and beer selection was pretty good. Not a bad visit.

Food was good. Our waitress was very good. Prices were good. I will be going back!

I had the Steak Fajitas and my wife had a chicken salad croissant both were excellent, atmosphere was great right along with the service. We finished up with apple pie and the banana pudding....scrumptious!!!

We went after church Sunday and I was not happy at all. We were seated fast enough but the 4 tables after us received their food first. We ordered dessert before we finished eating thinking we'd get it faster but NO! We waited 25 minutes for 2 brownie sundaes. The waitress said they were having issues with the water that's why our dessert hadn't came out yet. Then if that wasn't bad enough it took 10 more minutes to get our change, I just left my change but my sister had to wait for hers. Will be going somewhere else on Sundays.

Best deli and bar in the region. After eating half my Ruben, I had to take pics and post the latest menu. If you ever get near Smith Mountain Lake - Bridge Water Plaza, on 122, go here! Been going for about 20 years and the deli is still the best for many miles. I drive from Roanoke 40 min. to get an awesome deli meal. Try it!

Outstanding lunch as always. Fast, friendly service with a great price! Had the" Kyle's creation". Excellent sandwich.My server was very nice also. Will return soon!

New to the SML area. Moosie’s service was very slow. Given wrong drinks and server always too much in a hurry so my family wasn’t taken care of well. Inconsistent serving sizes and overpriced for very basic sandwiches and burgers. You can tell there are not many dining options in the SML area.

Great place on Smith Mountain lake. Good food friendly workers. Awesome FOOD.

It was a pleasant lunch....my friend ordered a. Moosie Burger and said it was good but probably would not order it again...the hamburger roll was toasted and very hard....I ordered a grilled chicken salad with Peppercorn Range dressing and it was ok but have gotten better at other eateries....

Nice casual restaurant at Bridgewater Plaza with a view of the marina. Nachos were yummy. Hamburger was tasty as were the onion rings. The BBQ sandwich was okay.

Always super friendly service with a great view of the lake. Salads, sandwiches and soups are fresh and tasty. Porch seating is comfortable even in cool weather. Definitely reccomend it.

Service was horrible. Food super slow to come out. Waitress never refilled drinks had to go to the bar to get them. Food was cold. Had to ask multiple times for condiments then went up to get them.

Beautiful views and friendly servers. However I had the pastrami and it was very very salty. I had swollen feet and ankles within 4 hours.

Mooses at Bridge Water Plaza is a fun place. Good food and great people go there. The staff always greet regulars with a smile or hugs! Of course if your not local you'll wish you were lol

Had the lunch special, chicken cordon Bleu. It was very good! Family members weren't thrilled with the crabcake sandwich. My daughter loved the roast beef sandwich, my husband liked the Little Chris - turkey bacon and cheese sandwich. The service was good and we'd go back, again!

HANG OUT. Moosie’s keeps you fed and watered with a round of laughter and good-natured fun. Bartenders are top-notch... they know how to fix and mix some fabulous concoctions! Your favorite drink will undoubtedly remain your favorite at Moosie’s! Moosie’s staff is comprised of local SML folks, and that adds to the welcoming spirit when you walk through the door and provides knowledge of the area for guests (should you need to know and care to ask).The food is simply delicious. If you’re a Reuben sandwich-fan... Moosie’s will give you a Reuben to rival all other Reubens... give it a try! Peruse the menu. There’s mouth-watering written all over it! Finish your evening off with a hot blackberry cobbler and you’ve officially “done” Moosie’s. (Well, pay and tip the nice ladies before you leave. THEN you’re “done!”)

Amazing nachos with different size portions for different size crowds. Good sandwiches as well with affordable prices and great views. Highly recommend.

We ate here while renting a houseboat at Parrot Cove. I had the salad sampler and it was enormous. It was also delicious. We got some onion rings for an appetizer and they were also very good. This is a great place for casual or family dining if you're in the area.

Great burger. They were quite busy and took a little bit to get my order, but it was worth it. Great service and food, thank you.

Been a while since I have stopped at Moosie's --- and it was great today. Waitress was pleasant and very quick. Food excellent. Had the reuben - definitely recommend it. Atmosphere pleasant, food delicious

It's been about 7 years since I ate there and they served the best BLT on the planet. I still talk about it. I just looked at the menu and I don't see it. I hope they still make them. Awesome!!@

Moosie's was amazing! I ordered a hamburger my boyfriend ordered a club,and his uncle ordered taco. Everything was so good and and huge! That hamburger must have stood 6 inches tall the club was almost as big. Yum! 😋 and you couldn't beat the prices.
